Volumetric heat exchangers are commonly used in Heat Exchanger Unit. The heat exchanger itself is a large storage tank hot water. Used in conjunction with a hot water circulation system, it ensures that hot water is available at all times.
Cold water enters from the lower part of the heat exchanger and hot water is supplied from the upper part. Steam enters from the top and condensate is discharged from the bottom. The water and steam exchange heat through the Coil inside. Steam is inside the tube, which has a relatively small heat exchange area, slow heat exchange and slow temperature change.
The temperature control of the volumetric heat exchanger system can be controlled by (electric/pneumatic) control valves or self-operated control valves.
Pneumatic control valves are gas-powered and need to be supplied with a gas source. The closing speed is fast and the closing force is high. While electric valves are powered by electrical energy. Electric valves have higher control accuracy and are mainly used in high precision control applications. Self-operated temperature control valve is based on the principle of thermal expansion and contraction of liquid in the inductor to control the valve opening and closing, so it does not need any energy to drive. The response speed of self-actuated temperature control valve is slow and the control accuracy is not high. It is mainly used in applications where temperature accuracy is not required, such as domestic hot water systems.
High-pressure steam is controlled by a control valve to control the flow rate and heat exchange with the cold medium in the volumetric heat exchanger to obtain the required temperature of the medium. After heat exchange, the steam becomes condensate and is discharged through a trap.
