The Induced Draft Cooling Tower consists of main machine,water tank, circulating water pump and electric control cabinet, while the main machine can be divided into parts like shell, heat exchanger, fan, spray pump, water receiver,sink and pipeline valve.

⛆ Operating Principles of Induced Draft Counterflow Cooling Tower



During the operation of the Forced Draft Cooling Tower, the cooling medium (soft water, oil or other liquids) is driven by the main circulating pump to circulate between the heat exchanger and the cooling equipment between Induced Draft Cooling Tower. Spray water is sprayed uniformly on the heat exchanger, forming a uniform water film on the outside surface of the heat exchanger. The cold air enters the Induced Draft Counterflow Cooling Tower from the inlet below the tower body and flows counter-current with the spray water through the heat exchanger surface. In this process, there are two ways of heat transferring, namely, heat conduction between cold air and cooling medium and heat absorption by evaporation of spray water.

The saturated hot and humid air after heat absorption is discharged from the fan of the Forced Draft Cooling Tower into the atmosphere. The rest of the spray water flows into the tank at the bottom of the tower body, and is pumped to the spray system. In this way, the cooling medium in the heat exchanger is cooled.
