Double Walled Heat Exchangers for Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are becoming a hit during winter time, as it is allegedly said to be reducing electricity cost during water heating process, by absorbing energy from air.

In that regard, many clients have inquiries regarding a type of Plate Heat Exchanger, which is BPHE, also Brazed plate heat exchanger, or Double Walled Heat Exchanger. Its main function is to serve as condenser or evaporator in a refrigerant circuit.

Within such a circuit, our Brazed Exchanger first exchanges heat from air to refrigerant, and then refrigerant and water. Such a process endures a close loop environment and consumes merely a small sum of refrigerants.

Its advantages such as compactness and efficiency are also the reasons for its high popularity.

Constructing Method

Stainless steel 316 strip combines with copper strip to form a layer of steel-copper structure, intertwining with each other. Then cutting machine will cut these strips into desirable pieces as in plate shape. Here comes our shaping machine where the steel-copper plates are squeezed to form a corrugated structure on the surface. After piling up these plates in certain orders, they are put into a vacuum welding machine for melting copper foil and make up a stable structure.
