A unit that exchanges heat through air cooling, known as an air-cooled condensing Air Heat Exchanger. Air-cooled condenser is one of the applications of air heat exchanger. Air-cooled condenser (ACC) is a direct dry cooling system in which steam is condensed in air-cooled finned tubes. Cool ambient air flow outside the finned tubes is what removes heat and defines the ACC. In a thermal power plant (T), steam from the turbine exhaust gas flows into the ACC where condensation occurs. The condensate is then returned to the boiler (B) in a closed loop. Since the steam from the turbine is in a low pressure state, the working pressure of the ACC is close to a vacuum, and the non-condensable gas (G) is continuously discharged from the air extraction device.

Air heat exchanger (also known as radiator or radiator Coil) is the main equipment in the heat exchange device, which uses cold and hot medium to cool or heat the air. High temperature water, steam or high temperature heat transfer oil can heat the air into the salt water.
